Do position the device

• In a prominent position that is easily seen and heard
• ideally on a south facing wall (otherwise east or west facing)
• in a sunny position
• a distance of at least twice the width of the eaves overhang below the eaves
• on a sound flat surface - ensure tamper switch closed
• within radio range of the control panel (or detectors)

Note: Remember that the position of the sun in the sky is different in winter and summer

Don't position the device

• avoid north facing walls
• in shade
• in a sunny position
• directly below the eaves
• so that the Tamper switch falls into the mortar recess between brick courses
• directly onto or behind metalwork, be aware of radiators on the inside of the property
